How to wear your favorite fashion item and be more stylish at the same time

The key to dressing well in your favorite clothing is to have fun with it, says Hannah Reichert, a fashion expert at the fashion consultancy, Art + Style.

“If you’re a creative person, it’s not the only thing that matters.

You need to have some fun with your clothes and enjoy the look,” she says.

Here are a few tips for getting the most out of your favorite apparel: • Wear it in a way that fits you best.

“The best way to wear clothes is to look good in them, and you can do that with the most popular style,” says Reichets, adding that a pair of jeans can look great with a blazer, and a t-shirt with a hoodie is going to look great if you’re wearing a jacket or sweater.

And while she says there are plenty of options for men, women, and children, she recommends choosing your clothing with a certain personality, which is to be able to wear the clothes that make you feel comfortable.

“It’s important that you have a sense of style that makes you feel good,” she advises.

“And it’s a good idea to go out of the closet and experiment with a new style every once in a while.”

• Wear them with confidence.

“You’re not going to feel like you have to wear a pair on every occasion, but it’s still important to be confident with your style choices,” says Renee Cramer, founder of the Fashion Revolution blog, which provides advice on how to wear different styles at home.

“Don’t overdo it,” she suggests.

“Think about your style.

If it’s something that you don’t normally wear, consider it something you may be wearing once in awhile, but don’t be afraid to try something new.”

Reichers suggestions: • Pick a style that you’ll wear more often.

The more you wear it, the more you’ll feel like your style is getting better, she says, which will make you more confident.

For example, if you’ve got a turtleneck and a sweater with a shirt underneath, you’re more likely to wear it regularly, so go for something that has a lot of personality, she adds.

• Go for something comfortable.

A t-shirts are good for casual wear, but the right shirt is a must for dressy looks, she explains.

“Wear one or two t-shirts on your favorite occasions and wear a longer one on occasion.

You can also wear a skirt on occasion, which gives a sense that you’re getting out in front of the camera.”

• Dress it up.

“Dress your best when it’s time to go shopping,” she recommends.

• Get creative.

Try different styles of jackets and pants, she suggests, as well as jackets and shirts with different fabrics.

For the most fun look, try something that’s slightly different, like a teddy bear or a bow tie.

Reiches also suggests buying clothes from independent retailers, like Gap, to make you look more authentic and to make buying clothes that are a little more fun.

• Avoid too many clothes.

“Buy only the clothes you like, which you can wear for many occasions,” she explains, adding, “If a pair is too similar to a pattern or has similar colors, you might not wear them all the time.”

Reiigts recommends keeping a list of all the clothing you own, and then picking the items you want to keep.

“Choose something you like and keep it,” says Cramer.

“Do your research and look for something you don,t want, or don’t want to wear.”

• Consider seasonal.

The weather can change, so be sure to shop smart.

Reiigs advice: If you’re in a warmer climate, Reichelts suggests keeping a few different outfits for different seasons, like for spring, summer, fall, or winter.

“Be flexible about it,” Cramer suggests.

Reifers advice: You should be aware that many brands are still being designed and re-released year-round.

“I would definitely be more cautious about shopping if it was a brand I was already familiar with, like Calvin Klein, and the same goes for Louis Vuitton and Gucci,” she adds, noting that these brands have been re-releasing for years and have come a long way in their designs.

Reigts advice: “You may be better off shopping with a brand like H&M, which has been around for decades and has a really large customer base,” she cautions.

“H&M is a great example of what you can get with a great label and an incredible brand like Gucci, because they’ve really kept up with fashion trends for decades.”
